phoebe is a joy. she is such a girly thing. with dainty little fingers and toes. narrow feet and a big bottom. a tiny thing, but chunky.

Preschooler Painting

a couple of months ago, i let will paint the background of this canvas with yellow and blue paint to make green! (he is using cheapo tempera paint). a few days ago, i let him have some red paint (his favorite color). i did not tell him what to paint. this is what he did - a self portrait! of two wills, he says.

he painted legs first. then he painted hair. then the body. then the arms. he painted the figure on the left first.

preschooler painting tip - let them paint in their underwear - to prevent staining clothes! (it also keeps them a little cooler when it is 95 degrees outside!!)

this is the close of will's "singing" at church last sunday night. it was his first time doing anything like this. as you can see he sat down in the middle of it. but, i thought he did wonderful!!! and i know God was pleased.

we found this child seat on craigslist and thought will might like to ride with us. if you listen closely, you can hear will say, "ride bicycle mommy".

it's getting really hot here in atlanta. i think we might be visiting pools instead of playgrounds for the next two months.

chatterbox

will started "talking" up a storm today. he especially likes to sit in a kitchen chair and "read" aloud. wonder if he's imitating a certain person he lives with???

mad gab

one night during Christmas vacation at my mom and dad's, the group got together and played mad gab. paul and nikole hadn't arrived yet, but this is everyone else except will who was in bed. jake was particularly funny. just watch. hilarious!

animal sounds

sorry, you can't hear will very well - maybe we can get a better video soon. but, this is him doing some of his animal and other sounds. he does tractor, snake, fish, dog, bee, and monkey.

singing

will has started singing a lot in the past week. he also loves sitting on top of things like my red dustpan. he is my buddy.

patty cake

i know i'm biased, but this is the cutest thing ever! mom taught him how to patty cake a few weeks ago. whenever people clap on the tv, he smiles and joins in. too cute

unbelievably cool

okay, so this is my younger brother and mom parasailing in panama city. if you know my mom, you will not believe what you are seeing in this video. she barely gets in the pool and here she is hundreds of feet in the air above the ocean! they said it was quite peaceful.

will has become very mobile in the past 7 days. this video was taken about a week ago. he still crawls like this, he's just faster now. he prefers cruising along anything he can hold onto, including walls and unstable rocking chairs.

i love you through and through

will really does love books. (aren't you proud, grandma brown?) he loves pictures. you can see him flipping the pages for me in this video. lately, he's gotten very serious about his job of flipping pages that he doesn't give me time to read what's on the page.

baby einstein joy

will gets so excited everytime he hears the baby einstein jingle and sees that caterpillar move across the screen to smile at him.

will loves his naps - NOT!

this is how i found will yesterday during his morning nap. at least he was sleeping. yesterday afternoon, he figured out how to stand in his crib - no sleeping then, but there was lots of crying!
